This technique is pushing the very boundaries of what we know about health and healing. It is an incredibly easy and fast acting technique that almost defies logic. Although there are now books on the market that do explain the science behind these simple energy therapy techniques. In more simplistic terms energy psychology techniques work by balancing the body’s energy system. Emotional Freedom Technique History: Forms of energy therapy have been in existence as far back as we can trace. Energy therapy was used throughout the world and its usage can be traced back to cultures as diverse as the Bantu Tribe in Africa, Eskimos and India. Since there was no global communication at those points in time, it stands to reason that these cultures must have discovered the benefits of Energy Techniques independently and through experimentation. EFT is a very modern form of energy therapy. It was developed in the 1990's by Gary Craig. Gary had a profound interest in self development which resulted in him studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). Emotional Freedom Technique in some ways is an amalgamation of these two techniques. His website gives more information and you can buy his DVD’s on further learning: www.emofree.com. Gary believes and the basis of EFT therapy is that "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system." How Emotional Freedom Technique Works: Emotional Freedom Technique relieves symptoms by tapping with the fingertips on a short series of points on the body that correspond to acupuncture points. These are the meridian points of the body. Where there is an imbalance, there is a corresponding blockage in the flow of energy through the meridian system. The tapping serves to release the blockages that are created when a person thinks about or becomes involved in an emotionally disturbing circumstance. When this blockage is released then the emotions come into balance. EFT is remarkably simple to apply and as such it means that we can go through the above procedure again and again using different affirmations in order to alleviate the problems being encountered. You'll be amazed at just what EFT can be performed on, I have listed a brief outline below: Fears and Phobias, About 10% of the population suffers from one or more phobias, there are hundreds of possible phobias and EFT can be effective on all of them. Some of the more common ones are: · Public speaking · Heights · Snakes, spiders & insects · Claustrophobia · Dentists · Needles · Driving · Elevators/Lifts Traumatic Memories & Rituals · War · Accidents · Post Traumatic Stress Disorder · Past mental and physical abuse. · Obsessions & Compulsions (OCD) Physical Healing · Headaches · Back pain · Stiff neck and shoulders · Joint pains · Chronic fatigue syndrome · Asthma · Allergies If you want your life changed then YOU have to take the first step. We can only get help by helping ourselves. Change your life now. "Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me." - Eric Robins, MD - |
